Springbrook Middle School Robotics Team
Excels at Countywide Competition

The robotics competition took place in December at Hudson Area Schools.

Adrian, MI: Springbrook Middle School's Robotics Team, guided by teacher Sheri Johnston,
achieved remarkable success at a recent competition held in Hudson, Michigan. The event
showcased the talents of middle school students from various schools, and Springbrook's teams
delivered outstanding performances across multiple challenges.
In the "Robo Challenge," the duo of Owen Salenbien and Greyson Butts secured first place,
demonstrating exceptional problem-solving and technical skills. Their classmates, Liam Plato
and Ryder Dowling, also performed admirably, earning third place in the same category.
The "Swept Away" game saw further success for Springbrook's teams. Wyatt Soule, Andrew
Betz, Myles Powell, and Adam Beutler's team achieved second place, while Parker Smith and
Brysen Smith clinched third. Notably, every participating team from Springbrook secured at least
one match victory during the competition, reflecting the students' depth of talent and
preparation.
Principal Adam Benschoter shared his pride in the students' achievements, commenting, "Our
students' performance in this competition reflects their dedication, teamwork, and the
high-quality education they receive at Springbrook Middle School. Seeing them excel and
represent our school with such distinction is inspiring."
Teacher and coach Sheri Johnston shared, "I'm proud of our students' performance at the
competition. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and hard work were evident throughout the event, and
these results directly reflect their hard work and collaboration."
Superintendent Nate Parker also commended the team's success. "The accomplishments of our
Springbrook Middle School Robotics Team highlight the hard work and dedication of both our
students and educators," he said. These achievements reflect our district's commitment to
fostering innovation and excellence in STEM education."
